As part of our extra curricular offer and our fantastic rewards system, Mr Thompson invited a group of students to Wallsend's Boxing gym.
The boys were put through their paces and took part in a few training drills.

Moorbridge's Marvellous Medicine
March 2023
As an extension of our World Book Day celebrations, KS3 took part in a "Moorbridge's Marvellous Medicine" Deeper Learning Day. All KS3 students participated in a variety of specially themed activities where they were competing for the best 'Marvellous Medicine'.
Here they were emulating the style of the late, great, Roald Dahl in George's Marvellous Medicine. Our students took great delight in creating their own magical concoctions with lots of disgusting outcomes hoped for!
WORLD BOOK DAY

To celebrate World Book Day 2023, students at Moorbridge took part in Happy World Book Day! Our students have been enjoying celebrations today. A variety of specially-themed activities have been taking place. Our Masked Reader quiz kept the students guessing! Who ARE the teachers behind the mask?
NORTHERN STAGE THEATRE VISITS MOORBRIDGE

In advance of our Christmas trip to The Northern Stage Theatre to see The Sorcerer's Apprentice, two cast members visited Moorbridge MAEPS this week. It was a real pleasure to meet Beth and Nick in their costumes with props. Our students were able to ask lots of questions and try some costumes on for size!
SAMANTHA'S LEGACY VISITS MOORBRIDGE
February 2023
In February 2023 Samantha's Legacy delivered their knife crime
awareness session to students in North Tyneside's Pupil Referral Unit
and Alternative Provision.
The nationally recognised voluntary organisation explores the
risks, realities and growing concerns relating to knife crime by
sharing Samantha's story after she was brutally stabbed to dealth
in Wallsend on August 2nd 2007.
LITERACY DEEPER LEARNING DAY
2022
KS3 took part in their Deeper Learning Day based on the novel, Treasure Island. Students took part in a range of activities including making treasure chests, treasure hunts where they worked as a team solving puzzles and making treasure maps.
LIT IN COLOUR

Following being chosen by Penguin Randomhouse from a small selection of schools across the country. We were gifted over 100 books from various diverse authors which we presented through our Lit In Colour display to showcase their amazing talent.

This Christmas our students each received a gift of a book from Moorbridge. The reaction from the students was so lovely! A fantastic way to end the term! #lovereading

Our lucky students were invited to The Northern Stage to watch The Snow Queen. We loved the performance and also had the amazing opportunity for a Question and Answer session with the Director afterwards. A treat for us all!

ANTI-BULLYING WRITING COMPETITION

A large group of Moorbridge students were selected as finalists in the ParticipationNT Anti-Bullying writing competition! All of their stories were collated and printed alongside being displayed across North Tyneside! A special congratulations to Antonia and Katie who won first prize in the Years 10 and 11 categories! We are very proud of you all!
