'Leaders are determined that pupils will be given every opportunity to succeed'
Pupils' personal development is a golden thread that runs throughout the school'
Paul Hannaford
Paul's delivery offered students an insight into the real world of drugs, gangs and knife crime, a message that just can't be taught from a book. The assembly was hard-hitting, graphic, emotional and so much more.
It provided students with the reality and consequences of drug abuse, and notably, helped break down the bravado we often receive through generic drug assemblies. The silence in the hall spoke volumes, "You could hear a pin drop". It stemmed conversation and drew attention to the issues around serious violence, understanding the root causes and educating youths. A must have assembly!
